FAQ
What do you tattoo?
ONLY ACCEPTING (づ ᴗ _ᴗ)づ♡: FLASH, CUSTOMS, and existing images. For existing images you MUST send references, and I will tattoo it as is unless specified otherwise. Feel free to ask me to include elements of my own drawing style (example: linework, shading, mark making, the rosy cheek circles I put on my drawings of people) or send a reference of a tattoo that I’ve done in the style you want. For customs, feel free to send references of any kind except: ANOTHER ARTIST’S ARTWORK OR TATTOO. I WILL SKIP YOUR FORM IF YOU DO THIS.
I have a portfolio on instagram of my art and tattoos. Your proposal will not be accepted if it does not fit within my style or capabilities! I am currently focusing on projects that fit within these specifications, thank u for understanding :,)
how many years of tattooing experience do you have?
I have been tattooing for four years!! I am always learning and striving for improvement and excellence! While I have been drawing and making art since I could hold a pencil, I have only been tattooing since late 2020! Thank you so much for your continued support and your trust <3
What are your rates and how should I pay for my tattoo?
My current rate is $250 hourly with a $450 minimum (repeatable flash and flash with set prices exempt), which means no matter how long your tattoo takes, the minimum payment required will be $450, $400 for the tattoo, and $50 for the drawing/booking fee. A deposit of $150 ($100 for repeatable flash no booking/drawing fee) will be payed through venmo (or a cash app) and I am cash only for the rest of the payment. The only payment app I accept on the day of the appointment is Zelle :0) $100 of the deposit goes directly towards the cost of your tattoo. The remaining $50 goes towards booking, emailing, drawing, and supplies. After we have corresponded, please feel free to ask and I can give you a rough estimate of how much your tattoo will be! :0) <3
Should I tip my tattoo artist?
Tips are absolutely not required, but GREATLY appreciated :D! Most of a tattoo artist’s hourly rate goes toward licensing fees, materials (needles, tattoo equipment, drawing tools etc.), shop rent, and other fees as an independent contractor. Tips go directly to the artist and it is a great way to show your support :0) A tattoo is an investment for life! Typically the service rate for tipping in the industry is 15-20%, but any tip of any amount or any kind (coffee, treat, gift, art) is greatly appreciated.
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Once your appointment is booked, the deposit is non-refundable. Please please please only submit a form if you understand this policy and are planning to get tattooed by me! There is one free reschedule, after that it is another $150 deposit for each reschedule. Max amount of reschedules is 3.
Do you repeat tattoo designs?
If it is an already existing image such as a manga/comic panel or a movie/tv screen cap, then it is repeatable. I do not repeat original tattoo designs, such as customs I’ve made or flash (unless explicitly stated that it is a repeatable flash).
Do you have flash pieces?
I have an available flash highlight on my instagram @nayellitattoo and on my website :0)
How do I prepare for my tattoo session?
After we book our appointment together, you will receive a confirmation email from my assistant as well as a list of things to do in preparation for our session. They will send an appointment reminder as your date approaches <3
What is your touch up policy?
I offer life long touch up service for my OWN tattoos :0) touch ups are always free! Please email us at nayellitattoo@gmail.com if you need a touch up!!
